Are Generators Allowed In National Parks?


Are you planning camp trip for coming summer season? Before you go to the National Park, take some time to read the generator rules. Nothing can beats the convenience of portable power. For some, that may be a solar, battery packs and others modern camping generator, there is no season like summer months to get out there and test out new ultra light weight portable units. But there are some rules where and how generator can be used in the outdoors, especially if you are planning to out into one of our national parks.

No matter how quite and efficient generator is, they can be disturb wildlife or fellow campers and that can be deemed by some authorities. While going camping, portable generators plays very important role for recharging the battery packs. Generally, Generators can be used in campsites in state forests and national parks, between the hours 8am and 9pm. With some restrictions, generators can be permitted within Wildlife service campgrounds and in National Parks. According to the individual camps, it's our responsibility to check rules and regulations.
